Inhaltsstoffe
Olive oil: protects against UVB damage; an antioxidant and moisturizing agent. Excellent in aiding in the regeneration of skin cells. Holds moisture extremely well, yet it allows the skin to shed its old cells.
Jojoba oil: emollient oil similar to other non-fragrant plant oils with a texture almost identical to our own natural secretions from the sebaceous glands; an excellent way to maintain healthy skin without clogging pores.
Glycine soja (soybean) oil: potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent for the skin. Emollient oil similar to other non-fragrant plant oils, and a principal source of omega-3 fatty acids. Main commercial source of alpha-tocopherol, also known as Vitamin E. Vitamin E is the body?s primary lipid-soluble antioxidant defense against free radical induced cell damage, which has been linked to premature aging.
Equisetum arvense extract: ancient Greeks used this herb in the treatment of wounds and the Romans used it as a vegetable and a medicine. No other herb in the entire plant kingdom is so rich in silicon as is equisetum arvense. Silicon helps to bind protein molecules together in the blood vessels and connective tissues. Silicon is the material of which collagen is made. Collagen is the "body glue" that holds our skin and muscle tissues together. Known to have healing and calming properties and giving a healthier glow to the skin, equisetum arvense is a rare and unique cosmetic agent which beautifies from the inside out rather than just externally. Some even ascribe to this herb a certain hidden "youth factor."
Phytosterols: common components of plant foods, especially vegetable oils, seeds, nuts and cereals; has the capacity to penetrate the skin quickly and deeply without leaving a greasy residue.
Rosa centifolia (rose) wax: soft, fragrant flower wax from the petals of the rose.
Kaolin: naturally occurring clay mineral; helps with staying power of pigments.
Prunus amigdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil: non-volatile oil extracted from the seeds of almonds and used as an emollient (an emollient is a substance that has the ability to soothe and soften the skin).
Anthemis nobile flower extract: chamomile has antioxidant and antimicrobial activities, and potent anti-inflammatory action.
Lavandula angustifolia (lavender) flower extract: lavender helps repair skin problems while making the skin feel invigorated with its natural antibacterial properties and soothing scent. With both antiseptic and sedative properties, this highly aromatic oil refreshes and tones the skin. Lavender oil can be used topically to moisturize and revitalize the skin?s dermal layer.
Vitis vinifera (grape) seed extract: contains proanthocyanidins, potent antioxidants that are helpful in diminishing the sun?s damaging effects and lessening free-radical damage.
Glycerin: helps prevent dryness or scaling of the lips.
Acanthopanax senticosus (eleuthero) root extract (siberian ginseng): restores vigor, increases longevity, and enhances overall health. Ginseng essential oil acts as an anti-oxidant that fights free radicals and repairs skin damage, such as in chapped lips.
Persea gratissima (avocado) oil: avocado yields an extremely deep penetrating oil, rich in vitamins A, D and E, lecithin, as well as potassium - known as the youth mineral. It is also high in sterolins, which are reputed to reduce age spots, help heal sun damage and scars. It is the sterolins (also called plant steroids) in the oil that soften the skin and impart a superior moisturizing effect, assisting in the regeneration and rejuvenation of the skin. Avocado oil can significantly increase the amount of collagen in the skin - which normally is under attack as we grow older. Avocado oil is easily absorbed into deep tissue, and with its wonderfully emollient properties, makes it ideal for mature skin.
Aloe barbadensis leaf extract: known as the "plant of immortality," aloe was presented as a burial gift to deceased pharaohs. Aloe is used topically to heal wounds and to treat various skin conditions. Aloe vera also produces at least six different antiseptics, which can kill mold, bacteria, funguses, and viruses. It is also thought to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Camelia oleifera (green tea) leaf: potent antioxidant as well as anti-inflammatory. Topical green tea polyphenols are likely to slow down the development of some signs of aging. They exert sun damage protection by quenching free radicals and reducing inflammation rather than by blocking UV rays. Therefore, green tea may synergistically enhance sun protection when used in addition to a sunscreen.
Squalane: oil derived from plants (usually olives). It is a natural component of skin and is a good emollient that has antioxidant and immune-stimulating properties.
Real vanilla flavor: pure vanilla gives us one of the most complex tastes in the world, having well over 250 organic components creating its unique flavor and aroma.
